The objective of the 3rd Infantry Division is to reenact the role of a standard United States Army infantry unit serving in the area of Modern Combat.
Realizing that there are certain limitations with Call of Duty 4 (CoD 4), we will still endeavor at every opportunity to emulate the tactics, methods, and procedures employed by a US Army unit within the limitations of this amazing game.
We strive for teamwork, realism, and a taste of brotherhood felt by all combat units formed during times of war. We ask that you join us in this same vision and help to create a larger and more diverse force of realism-based players in the arena of online gaming.

Operation Order from Headquarters, US Army; The 3rd Infantry Division [3rd ID] was founded February 2, 2001 and is hereby transferred to Day of Defeat.
Operation Order from Headquarters, US Army; The 3rd Infantry Division [3rd ID] is hereby transferred to Call of Duty; September 1st, 2003.
Operation Order from Headquarters, US Army; The 3rd Infantry Division [3rd ID] hereby transferred to Call of Duty: United Offensive; December, 2004.
Operation Order from Headquarters US Army; The 3rd Infantry Division [3rd ID] is hereby transferred to Call of Duty 2; November 9, 2005.

Finally! After many months of inactivity the Marne Messenger staff is proud to release volume 3 of the newspaper everyone so craves!

Poll: ETO Campaign |

It has come to my attention that with our move to COD4 this Unit will not be putting its best efforts into COD2. While this is perfectly fine we are still listed as participants in the ETO Campaign and although I personally do not mind continuing to play in the league I understand many of you may not want to.
This is simple; vote "Yes" or "No" to the poll question. If we don't have enough people committed to the campaign we will pull out.

Call of Duty 4 and the Future |

As newly appointed Commanding Officer of the Third Infantry Division. It is my privilege to announce that effective December 19, 2007 the Third Infantry Division is here by transfered to Call of Duty 4.
For nearly 7 years the 3rd ID has waged war as a World War 2 reenacting unit. Our move to modern warfare was not taken lightly. And our stance on what we do here is that we play the way we do to honor those who have served. This stance will be no different after our move is complete and with this, we will carry our standards into these new horizons.
Thank you all for your support in past. We look forward to working with some of you in CoD4!

3rd ID host is moving to PHP5 |

PHP 4 has reached end of life. The hosting company, and probably most hosting companies are moving their servers to PHP5.
Hopefully this won't break the site, but fair warning is given.
If the site goes down we appologise and will get a fix shortly.
Dec 1st is the due date for the move.
